4) Any personal watercraft may not be operated within 200 feet of a swimmer or surfer or within 200 feet of a beach frequented by swimmers or surfers. 5) To protect Maine’s wildlife and the ecosystem, it is illegal to harass birds and marine animals from your boat. 6) Always follow the laws and responsibilities outlined by the Department of Maine Marine Resources.
